What is Krav Maga?
Krav Maga is a practical self-defense system designed to teach you how to respond to real-world situations. Rather than focusing on competition, forms, or traditional martial arts techniques, Krav Maga emphasizes awareness, movement, defensive skills, and simple, effective techniques that can be applied under pressure.
How does Krav Maga differ from Taekwondo?
While both programs build confidence, discipline, fitness, and valuable martial arts skills, they have some important differences.
Krav Maga at McClellan’s will have:
-
No uniform requirements — come ready to train!
-
No formal belt testing
-
No traditional belt ranks
-
No “Yes, Sir” or “Yes, Ma’am” requirements
-
A strong emphasis on practical self-defense and real-world situations

Who can take Krav Maga classes at MTA?
